September 2024

• Remove soil from pond edge to prevent it washing in when it rains

• Cut back ragwort and some  creeping thistle

• Tools; loppers, trugs, barrows

October 2024

• Place reclaimed fencing wire around pond and attach to posts. Put gate to Pond area in place.

• Point gaps between stones in bottom of Pond with cement

• Source and order new trees  eg Sallow/ elms

• Tools; Post rammer, pointing trowel/gun  and mixing bucket, electric drill

November 2024

• Start replacing dead trees ; silver birch, hornbeam, beeches, rowan etc in Coppices and hedge  with trees from tree nursery.

• Tools; Spades, labels

December 2024

• Plant a few new trees in appropriate places; sallow/ elms

• Tools; spades, labels

January 2025

• Limestone bank; strim and remove very robust vegetation.

• Tools; strimmer, scythe

February 2025

• Mulch Hedge and Standard trees along hedge line and in Wild Area.

• Tools; Barrows, trugs, cardboard.

March 2025

• Strim Wildflower area and rake and remove rakings.

• Start mowing winding paths around coppices .

• Tools; Strimmers, rakes.

April 2025

• Reduce grass from around base of trees In Woodland area. .

• Mow transect path , and path to Peace grove.

• Tools; Scythes , Strimmers, rip hook

May 2025

• Cut grass around base of trees in Coppices .

• Remove grass from base of Standard Trees, I metre around

• Tools; Scythes, shears, rip hook.

June 2025

• Mow grass both sides of Hedge.

• Tools; Scythes

July 2025

• Mow Paths and Transect path.

• Pull Ragwort or cut to the ground .

• Tools; Loppers. Scythes , barrows

August 2025

• Mow Wildflower area and remove leavings.

• Remove grass from base of Standard trees.

• Ask Farmer to cut unwooded grassland and remove hay.

• Inspect all trees . The note of dead / dying ones.

• Tools; Scythes, rakes.
