Pond protection

During our two October work days, we continued work erect a fence around the pond - aiming to protect the habitat from dogs, which can transmit anti-flea chemicals into the water. Bashing in fence posts is heavy work!

Other volunteers were engaged elsewhere on the field, pulling up ragwort and thistles and planting wildflower plants. As usual, we got together for a break for cake at about 11. Must look into sourcing some extra chairs…!
